      Error 18: Selected cylinder exceeds max supported by BIOS

      Solution

      This error is returned when a read is attempted at a linear block address beyond the end of the BIOS translated area. This generally happens if your disk is larger than the BIOS can handle (512MB for (E)IDE disks on older machines or larger than 8GB in general).

      Try an update for your BIOS and/or move your boot partition to the front (or at least into the appropriate range).

              Régebbi disztribúcióban volt lehetőség arra hogy amikor telepítetted a suset akkor particionálás közben lehetett boot partíciót csinálni. Most nem találtam a típusok között hogy boot.

              A legújabb elérhető biosra van frissítve a laptop. (Acer Travelmate 4502). Hogy tegyek egy boot particiót a win partició elé?

                  Te is rájössz, az utolsó kérdéseddel.

                  1. Óvatosan.
                  2. Sehogy.

                  2.a. Próbáld meg windowsból, loadlinnel elindítani.

                      1. Óvatosan? 130 GB-t nem merek ámozgattatni pq magic 8-al. Kb 1 napig tartana és félek hogy hibázik.
                      Ubuntuhoz létezik a wubi. Valami hasonló megoldás nem létezik suse alá?
