a ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-4496 ftp cím alatt található NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg*.run fileok között mi a különbség, a * helyett 1 szám van de mit jelent?

a 0-ban nicsenek eloreforditott modulok, a tobbieben meg egyre tobb;

aha, de mégha azt is telepítem amiben a legtöbb van akkor is szükséges a kernelforrás?

az nvidia csak az ujabb (inkabb: nem kifutott) redhat, suse, mandrake disztrok eloforditott (csomagbol telepitett) kerneleihez biztosit eloforditott modult, de ezen kernelek tobb valtozatahoz is (proci, patch, …);
ha uhuhoz is biztositananak, akkor vennek meg egy kartyat toluk tiszteletem jeleul 😉

egyszeruen felrakod a megfelelo uhus kernel-header csomagot is lefutattod a 0-as telepitot; ennyi az egesz;
elotte lodd le az xet (‘/etc/init.d/xdm stop’ vagy gdm, kgm, stb) es ird at az XF86Config-4-et;

Attól függ milyen kernel van fent,ha talál hozzá modult akkor nem kell.(nekem nincs uhum de úgy hallottam,hogy eléggé sok patch van ugyhogy biztos kéne a forrás)
és miért nem megy? mi a hiba ?mi történik vagy mi nem?:)

most látom,hogy kicsit kurta de hátha látszik a lényeg számotokra, az 1-es cdrõl felraktam mindent annak elégnek kellene lennie, X-et természetesen lelövöm meg minden utána init 5 vagy gdm start

most nincs nvidia kartya a birtokomban, ezert csak tippelenek, ha tudnam kell-e a vgahw modul; ez biztosit gyorsitast, ha vesa sincs? mert akkor semmi szukseged ra, szedd ki az erre vonatkozo sorokat a XF86Config-4-bol;
az nvidia meghajto a telepitese hiba nelkul lefutott?
