Nekem úgy van, hogy otthon fut az sshd daemon, és akkor bárhonnan egy ssh klienssel (akár putty is jó) a 22-es SSH porton keresztül el tudom érni az otthoni gépemet. Amit furcsának találtam, hogy sshd-hoz by default az rsa/dsa-key-ek nincsenek legenerálva, és a következõ módon nekem kézzel kellett megtennem a generálásukat:
ssh-keygen -q -f „/etc/ssh/ssh_host_key” -N ” -t rsa1
ssh-keygen -q -f „/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key” -N ” -t rsa
ssh-keygen -q -f „/etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key” -N ” -t dsa

Ez még mindig csak az array-5-nek valamelyik „rc”-je szvsz ( http://www.hup.hu/modules.php?name=News&fi…order=0&thold=0 ), nem a final. 🙂

Na, most ott járok a felrakásban, hogy a alian-al átalakított .deb-es fglrx drv-t föltettem, és RESULT 0-val tért vissza a kpackage-ban. Utána fglrxconfig-ot console-ból elindítottam, és elõ is jött az ATi-s drv telepítõ. Itt megadtam, amiket kérdezgetett, és amikor a végén kérdezte, hogy shall i write, akkor yes-t nyomtam neki. Utána reboot. De x feláll, és ugyanúgy csak 680 FPS-el fut a glxgears. 🙁 Mi lehet a baj? Az UHU-Vezérlõpultban pedig Automatikus (fglrx)-re állítja magát. Mit mire kell még állítanom? First Look At Ubuntu Linux 5.04 Array-4

„Features

The latest Ubuntu development release runs on Linux kernel 2.6.10, but you’re also given the choice to choose from several architecture optimized builds if you’d like by using the Synaptic package manager. One of the greatest things about using apt-get/Synaptic is that you can simply choose a kernel you want and the system will do the rest for you, including editing the Grub menu.list to load your new kernel by default at boot time. The alternative kernels include i386, i586, i686, P4, AMD K6, AMD K7, SMP, and K8/AMD64 to name a few. This is excellent news for those who would like to start with an optimized base to build upon. It would be nice if Ubuntu would actually use something like the kernel configuration utility that is resident on Libranet Linux. They take it a step further by allowing you to edit the kernel using menuconfig (like most people do I assume) and the utility does the rest (i.e., make, cp System.map… cp .config… etc. etc. etc.)… which doesn’t seem like much but it really is if you don’t like typing repetitive commands.

As I said moments ago, the distro is Gnome-based, and in case of v5.0.4 it’s based on Gnome 2.9.91, which is a pre-release of Gnome 2.10 so it’s a great way to take a look at the latest greatest achievements of one of the premier Linux desktops and not have to go to great lengths to get it. Keeping up with Gnome development releases is pretty difficult unless you’ve got a distro such as Ubuntu to play around with so it’s nice to be able to easily take a peek at the future. That being said, you’ve got to also understand that it might not be the most stable thing on the planet. To be fair, development releases of the major desktop environments such as KDE and Gnome are relatively bug free considering their size and depth of features being built on top of them. I will say this: Ubuntu has released a solid Gnome-based distro. It runs well. By Gnome-based distro though, I mean Gnome-only. You will find no KDEcentric pieces floating around here… at least I didn’t… but for some, that might be just fine. Even though I’m generally noodling around in Gnome, I use quite a few KDE applications so that was one of the first things I did when I got going. Speaking of which, let me tell you about the install…”
