– Grafikkarte: 8600M GT
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5920

Schilderung wann der Fehler auftritt (zur Rekonstruktion):
Direkt nach der Installation von Ubuntu 7.04-amd64 von der alternativenCD, bekomm ich einen black Screen. Zum Anmeldefenster komme ich nicht!ALT + STRG + F1 funktioniert hier nicht. Wenn ich Ubuntu in der 2tenOption starte, komme ich bis zu der Console. Dort steht dannroot@computername: …

Was ich schon zur Problemlösung versucht habe:
Xserver neu konfiguriert, dabei hatte ich einmal eine Meldung amSchluss bekommen, dass er keinen Bildschirm findet. X-server als „vega”configuriert (mit geringer Farbtiefe und geringer Auflösung).
Funzte alles nicht.

Ich hab auch probiert beim Bootmenü „e” drücken und dort was zu machen,wusste aber nicht was genau. Ein Tipp im Internet war VGA=7xx (mirfällt es jetzt nicht ein) zu stellen, doch das hab ich irgendwienirgends gefunden.

An was es liegen könnte (Auffälligkeiten):

Ich habe dann gelesen, dass die 8xxx Serie von Nvidia nicht bei der binären irgendwas drinnen ist.

Ich glaube das alles funken würde wenn ich nur 1 mal den desktop seheund den neusten Grafiktreiber installiere. Doch dazu muss ich dateneditieren. In der jetzigen Konsole kann ich nichts editieren, da ichmeinen gedit ned öffnen kann. klar – ist ja eine grafische Oberfläche.

Looks as though there are problems on the 5920 with the nVidia setup aswell. A friend of mine just bought one and he had the same issues youguys are talking about here. In addition, x would not start at all,saying it can’t find any screens. Even when using the non-proprietarydriver.

Na de egy 2007 junius-juliusi Acer noti ne legyen mar winonly.. Olyan nincs. Elobb-utobb vagy csinalnak a kernelbe Gef8 tamogatast, meg mindent, ami utan menni fognak a disztrok. Apropo: van valakinek gef8 szerias VGA a gepeben? Ha igen, milyen disztroval hasznalja, es volt-e gondja vele?!
