I was unable to boot even the install CD, and submitted a question to Intel tech support. Here’s their answer:

– Ensure the BIOS is set to AHCI. Please go to Advanced > Drive configuration > Configure SATA as. (In later Intel(R) desktop boards you can enter the BIOS setup program by repeatedly pressing the key during the boot process)

– Use the boot parameter: all-generic-ide

– use the boot parameter: pci=nommconf

I was able to install with no problems and have a working, stable system. The install program automatically configured GRUB to provide the pci=nommconf paramter, so maybe this is what you need.

Egy lspci kimenet is jol jonne a geprol, a fenti iromany az intel 965-os chipsetre vonatkozik 🙂

Ilyennel szivtam en is, szinten havernel.
A megoldas nagyjabol ilyesmi:
A biosban az ata emulaciot kell uhci-re (?*) allitani.
Amikor bootol a cd/dvd, akkor be kell irni rendszermag parameternek, hogy „all-generic-ide”. Akkor latnia illene a cd/dvd-t.

Ha meg nem jon ossze, akkor egy kulso eszkozre (pendrive, hdd, egyeb), fel lehet tenni a telepito cd/dvd-t, majd a loopback eszkozre felcsatolva ezt, es linkelni /dev/cdrom neven szinten mennie kellene. (a telepitoben terminalt ctrl+alt+f5 megnyomasaval lehet eloszedni, van tobb is)
