Huuu gyerekek, jo hirem van! Most olvasgatom a Mandriva Linux 2007.1 `Errata` feature listajat itt: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Releases/Mandriva/2007.1/Errata , es azt irjak, hogy laptopra es a bcm43xx-es wifi / wlan kartyara is ki lesz hegyezve. Mivel sok panasz, keres jott ezzel kapcsolatban, ezert belerakjak (beleraktak) az uj verzioba:
„Mandriva Linux 2007 Spring includes the bcm43xx driver for Broadcom wireless network chipsets. Broadcom chips are frequently used in systems with integrated wireless networking, for instance laptops. Your system’s manual / technical specifications document should tell you the manufacturer of your wireless chipset.
The bcm43xx driver is a relatively new development and is based on reverse engineering, not official Broadcom technical specifications (which are not provided). The driver is therefore incomplete, contains some bugs and does not work correctly with all varieties of Broadcom chipsets. If you have a Broadcom wireless chipset, Mandriva is using the bcm43xx driver, and you are not satisfied with its performance, you may consider using ndiswrapper as an alternative. ndiswrapper is a module which uses Windows drivers to provide wireless networking on Linux. This has obvious compromises in terms of licensing, but in some cases will give better results than the bcm43xx driver. ndiswrapper should be included and available as an option in the networking configuration tool (you can choose either to use the bcm43xx driver or ‘a Windows driver’, which means using ndiswrapper).„
KDE 4 roadmap (kiadasi utemterv):
* April 1, 2007: Subsystem Freeze
From this date forward, no new KDE subsystem or major changes can be committed to kdelibs.* May 1, 2007: Alpha Release + kdelibs soft API Freeze
Alpha will be a source-only release without translations. The kdelibs API is „soft-frozen”, meaning that changes can be made but only with the consent of the core developers.* June 1, 2007: trunk/KDE is feature frozen
Trunk is frozen for feature commits. Internationalised string changes are allowed. A list of main modules that will be included in the final release will be made.* June 25, 2007: Beta1
Beta 1 is prepared and released after some initial testing. The incoming bugs will be reviewed for their severity. After this release, a new Beta version will be released every month.* September 23, 2007: Total Release Freeze
This is the very last date for committing anything that isn’t reviewed on the development lists.* September 25, 2007: Release Candidate 1
Targetted date for first release candidate. Only regressions (breakage caused by the KDE 4 port) or grave bugs can be fixed. Starting with this Release Candidate, a new Release Candidate will be put out every two weeks until the codebase is sufficiently stable and all showstopper bugs have been fixed.* October 23, 2007: Targetted Release Date

„At the moment it doesn’t work out of the box, as you still need to download (or extract) the firmware. This cannot be distributed without Broadcom’s approval due to copyright restrictions. Having said that as long as you already have a net connection the bcm43xx-fwcutter will fetch the firmware for you, (as it does with Edgy, iirc).
This situation is unlikely to change in the near future. If you want to know more have a look at the linuxwireless site http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/bcm43xx
I haven’t done extensive testing, but in my opinion the bcm43xx driver is much improved over Edgy’s version. It’s far more stable, though it is still slower than ndiswrapper.„
Mindegy, tudom: a SuSE jo, a SuSE aranyos, a SuSE mindenek felett. ;D

Na jo, flame OFF. (:
Ha jol fogja kezelni alapbol a bcm43xx-et, akkor en is a Festy-nel maradok, es nem Mepist fogok hasznalni.„Earlier this month I covered Ubuntu’s Migration Assistant, which is one of the features that will be found in Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.„
